St Dogmaels

st dogmaels st dogmaels This peaceful riverside village offers you a calm day out. Enjoy tea and cake from the Heritage Centre cafe, a stroll in the Abbey grounds and then perhaps see for yourself the traditional method of grinding flour at Y Felin Water Mill before tasting their freshly made loaves. The lunchtime and evening menus in the White Hart should round the day off nicely before finishing up at the Webley Hotel for a river side drink or evening meal! Perfect!

Cardigan town

Fancy getting out on the water? You can either enjoy canoe trips with Cardigan Heritage Canoes or if that’s not fast paced enough, how about a speedy wildlife boat trip over to Cardigan Island with “A bay to remember.”

There are a small variety of shops and cafes. Among them is the Indoor market, a variety of stalls ranging from a Panini bar, local arts and crafts and material. Pendre Art Gallery is a small, very welcoming place with a cafe and always a display of fabulous art work. Food For Thought is a popular little cafe with welcoming staff and menu of high quality home cooked dishes and snacks to suite all taste buds.

Watch a film or see an exhibition at Theatre Mwldan or take part in a huge range of workshops at the Small World Theatre. You can spot otters and squirrels on the nature trail running from Cardigan to Cilgerran. It’s a lovely walk or bicycle ride with a choice of paths leading off through the woods or reeds. The trail leads to Cilgerran Wildlife Centre where you’ll find a playground, interactive nature displays and a tea room. It’s also worth keeping an eye on their calendar of events and craft days!!
